Choose between an indoor IMG Worlds day and MOTIONGATE's film-themed indoor/outdoor park. Compare ride eligibility, travel and ticket scope.
Weather and interests are the starting point
IMG Worlds of Adventure is a useful starting point when indoor comfort is a priority. Its character and adventure theming suits visitors interested in those zones. MOTIONGATE is a film-themed park within Dubai Parks and Resorts with both indoor and outdoor areas.
Choose by the rides and worlds your group actually wants to see. Do not assume the total ride count determines value or that a partly indoor park removes all outdoor walking.
Read ride eligibility before choosing a park
Check each park's current ride and access guides against the children's heights and any health or mobility restrictions. A ticket admits a visitor to the park; it does not override an individual ride's safety conditions. Temporary ride closures can also change the practical value of the visit.
For younger children, compare LEGOLAND Dubai rather than choosing only between two thrill-led parks. Mixed-age families may need a plan for splitting activities and reuniting.
Single-park entry, multi-park tickets and upgrades
MOTIONGATE may be sold within multi-park products, while IMG has its own admission and premium options. Check named parks, permitted visit days and queue-upgrade coverage. A two-park ticket is not necessarily good value if travel and queues leave time for only one.
Compare same-date final prices and add food, storage or other extras as needed. Verify transport rather than assuming a free shuttle is included.
Build a full park day rather than a rushed checklist
Allow a substantial part of the day for entry, walking, meals and queues. Select a few must-do rides and consult the show schedule instead of trying to use every attraction. In hot weather, plan shade and indoor breaks at MOTIONGATE.

Our Verdict
IMG suits an indoor-focused day; MOTIONGATE suits its film themes and broader park setting. Decide using current ride access and your group's interests.
